Ken C. Schmitt, President
Ken has been placing mid and senior level financial professionals for over 10 years. A native of San Diego, he offers a unique understanding of the local marketplace, its diverse industry base and business culture. Ken prides himself on approaching each search from a holistic perspective - taking into account his client’s technical, cultural and environmental needs - and customizing each engagement accordingly.
Ken’s vision of building a world class search firm materialized in mid-2007 after leaving his former employer after nearly 3 years. It became evident that his talent for executive recruiting, professional coaching and continuous networking would serve as the cornerstone for a new style of search firm. Combining his 7 years of experience working for local and national contingent firms with his 3+ years at Heidrick & Struggles, a global retained executive search firm, Ken created a truly unique organization. His vision is simple: to build Southern California’s leading resource for financial and operational professionals by offering unique career opportunities, providing personalized coaching, and driving corporate success.
Prior to entering the search industry in 1998, Ken spent 5 ½ years with Enterprise Rent A Car, progressing from Management Trainee to Branch Manager in San Diego and Orange County. Throughout his 16 year career, Ken has earned multiple awards for Corporate Development, Branch Profitability, Synergy, “Fastest Branch to Profitability”, and Revenue Growth.
Ken earned his BS in Economics from the University of San Diego and is heavily involved with the local business community.
Ken lives in Carlsbad with his two children and wife, a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Elaine Rosen, Recruiting Services Manager
Elaine’s 9 years of experience in Human Resources Management and Recruiting brings with it the perspective that a placement should always be the right fit for both the candidate and the client.

Born and raised in Australia, Elaine came to San Diego in 1993 through the University of Queensland’s international exchange program. In 1995, she moved to Oregon where she worked for a federally funded Job Training program teaching classes in job search techniques and assisting candidates with career transition. In 1998, Elaine returned to San Diego and worked for a major staffing agency until she left in 2000 for a Human Resources Management opportunity. In April 2008, Elaine joined the TurningPoint Executive Search team.
Elaine lives in San Diego with her two children and husband, a Marine Scientist.
