I am currently taking a winter session career class with a great professor, David Bennett at CSUSM, and currently, we are studying the importance of networking. This is a great article that is totally lining up with what I am doing to enhance my chances of landing that ultimate, fulfilling career.

What I am learning about choosing a career instead of a job, is the importance of researching the field that I am interested in. For the same research I have done in presentations and research papers, I am now investigating environment, industry, and company culture in order to find that perfect fit. This article is definitely a reinforcer in networking and is very helful.

Very helpful article. I recently attended a Csusm career center workshop, and due to time constraints, we were not able to go into digital resumes. Great tips! Thank you.

Hi Ken - What an insightful article! It reminds me of a comedy routine I heard where the woman said that everyone should wear sticky notes written by past boyfriends, girlfriends or spouses that tell the future significant other all the things that are wrong with you such as "snores", "cheats", "doesn't put cap on toothpaste"! That would certainly make life more efficient wouldn't it!

I also love that you're advocating embracing our labels. I'm going to create a paragraph just like yours!

Another great, thought provoking article Ken. Our organization has just "officially" defined it's values, knowing that it isn't an end point, but something to strive for each day. Personal values have been key for me in recognizing the difference between what I can do and what I want to do, helping me to continue to grow. Thanks!
